Some guy created a digital version of the font in 1996 called METAL LORD, but I'm behind the origins of it.

Besides The Man Who Fell to Earth the earlier appearance of this font I found comes from a Steel Mill's LP called The Green-Eyed God (1975).(https://www.discogs.com/Steel-Mill-Green-Eyed-God/release/4813763)

So you know about Typodermic’s Metal Lord, and I presume about Dokter Bryce by The Northern Block. Unfortunately, neither designer seems to know the original typeface name and both reference the film poster as their primary source.

Yes, I think Dokter Bryce is even newer. From 2013 or something...
