I am curious about what this font could be, and if it actually currently exists somewhere.

Sorry, but the three main lines of display type (Cyril Scott, Water-Wagtail, Pianoforte) appear to be lettering, not a typeface (the repeating letters show enough variation to indicate that they aren’t typeset).

I didn’t find anything in a contemporary digital font that came close.

Agree that it's lettering, as is the small stuff too. Hire a lettering artist!
