Geometric sans with some rouned corners

This is the logo for a company that I'm freelancing for. Unfortunately, the logo was designed a few AD's ago and no one seems to know what this font is, but they want to use it in some other collateral. I'm at a bit of a loss and worried that it is a customized version of another font, like Avant Garde. Any suggestions are welcome!!

Ahh, the old rounding corners trick. Fallback option for logo designers without any ideas.

I fear it is a modified Avant Garde. Here I made it with Avant Garde Demi (in yellow)…
