We're making a specimen book ant this looks close to Cochin and even Greco at times...but can't make a match.

This is Georges Peignot’s early 20th-century typeface initially released as “Cochin”. There are various digital versions under the name Nicholas Cochin. The Black weight from Linotype or URW will get you close to what I assume is the metal or film version in your image.
