Hello all,

I’m working on a wine label project and while doing a client research I found this old letter. I would be really appreciated if someone could identify the serif and sans serif typefaces on this vintage letter.

Thanks in advance!!!

It will be a few days before I could get to French specimen books from this era, but I’m assuming you’re more interested in digital approximations than exact metal IDs, so here are some ideas:

Bodoni (ParaType)
Bodoni-M (URW)

Latino Elongated

Liliom

Monotype Modern

Slab American

ITC Founder’s Caslon

Letterpress Text

Indeed I’m more interested in digital approximations.

Thanks a lot for the editing and the answer Stewf!
