Serifed face. Again, it was used on the back cover of a French book published in 1981.
Looks like a beefier version of Helvetica Neue Extended Black seen on cover of book called "Lost Images"
Serifed typeface in the upper case. Featured on the cover of "Mémoires D'Hadrian", a historical novel published in France in 1951.
Again, another text face used on a French book published in 1981. Apologies from the blurry scan of the page.
Lower-case sans-serif used on the belly band of "Sans Allusions", a French translation of a book by photographer Richard Avedon originally published in 1964.

Sorry, not a typeface. It appears to be hand-lettered (there is an artist's signature in the lower right).
