A bigger picture at – given the date (1975) and the looks, it smells like handlettered to me.

This is Gesh Ortega Roman 275 by Gert Schwekendiek for Berthold. Crazy you posted this. I just ran into it for the first time last week.

Wow. I thought it was just a bit too lively and particular to be type, and glad to be wrong. It would fit in well with other 70s inspired headline typefaces in todays magazines.
