Alexey Brodovitch may have adapted—or was inspired by—Fat Face, radically changing the proportions and elongating the serifs.

Onyx and Spire are  other possible inspirations

Elsewhere in the same book, 19th century typefaces are used for the names of various ballets; this title face may have a similar source (but I haven’t found it yet).
