I reached out to Studio Frith, who designed this book and an earlier book on the history of Il Hotel Pellicano proper (2011), and they confirmed that it is a bespoke typeface. No other details were offered, The typeface is used by the hotel (in images only, not as live type) on its website and on branded merchandise, but whether it was used first in the books and later adopted by the hotel or commissioned by the hotel’s creative director, Marie-Louise Scio, I don’t know.
I suspect that if you can locate the book in a local bookstore or library, you may find a credit for the type design in either the front matter or possibly a colophon at the back of the book. In any case, it isn’t commercially available.
