First time here? Maybe read the FAQ.
Curious to know if anyone has ever seen this. Perhaps in a 1970s type specimen book. Clearly no digital version exists.

Please provide the name of the album, and an image of the album cover if at all possible.

If the tyepface never made the transition to digital, we will need more information in order to make an ID.

It's Prince's 'Controversy'. A 12-inch from the same year features the same font.

It is a little like Songcrafter JNL, but with lots of changes. It may have started there.

Song Crafter JNL is a digital font, so it came long after this album. It was modeled from the writer credits on the cover of the 1943 sheet music. So, Song Crafter is based on lettering in a similar style but certainly not the basis for this album art.
