Hi. I'm new here. I'm wondering whether anyone recognizes this font, or if you suspect it was drawn specifically for use in the Federal logo. If it was taken from an existing font, presumably the capital F was customized with that musical note? Any ideas? Thank you.

The first example is from the 1950s, but Federal continued to use the logo through to its demise in the early '70s, though the rest of the type on the label changed with the times.

As the 'e's are slightly different and logos of this era were commonly hand drawn this is likely lettering, not type.
