Antique Font #3 – 1877 roman caps in scotch style

Question

Hello. This font appears in a book of the year 1877. I am trying to find the typeface used and a matching modern font.

At the time this was printed, many metal type foundries across the US and Europe offered generically named “Romans” in this style. It would be a challenge to pinpoint exactly which one was used here, but you can find many similar designs – metal and digital – by starting with the Modern/Scotch genre on Fonts In Use.
