Hey Chris,

This is not a typeface, but custom lettering – in 1938 it wasn’t easily possible to distort typographic letters like this, set on a circle and with fanning.

Similar inline typefaces that were around at the time include Tiemann’s Daphnis and Van Krimpen’s Open Kapitalen, both from 1929. Neither is particularly close in terms of the details in M and R. In that regard, Egmont Open by De Roos comes closer.
