I have to retype this, but I can't find exactly the same… Maybe it was from Letraset.

Here is what I found the most similar: Alinéa, Angie, Artifex Hand, Beorcana, Epica, Orenga.

Thank you for your help — my very best ;¬)

Many thanks for your time !!

Instead of vectorized as they did before, I prefered to redraw it even if I'm not a typographer…

Have a good day ;¬))

I suspect it is calligraphy (no luck with an ID).

The book was originally published in 1980, but the cover could be as late as 2005 (later edition). Let's get the original uploaded, with the complete letter R:

What Kevin said. Repeating letterforms appear to be identical, but keep in mind that a lettering artist can always re-use a felicitous glyph by copy-pasting it, with photographic or digital means.

The typefaces you listed are good. I’ll throw in another option, Quadraat Sans. It’s not as calligraphic, and the bowls in d and a gravitate rather to the bottom, but it has some of the flaring, and the e comes close.

Epigraph also has a similar vibe, as does Infini.
