Here we have a children's book called "On Vacation" by Richard Scarry.  This is a 1976 reprint of a book originally published in 1963,  I don't have the original edition, so i don't know whether this typeface also was present in the 1963 edition.

I'm looking for identification of the "A Golden Look-Look Book" and "with illustrations by Richard Scarry" text.

It looks a lot like American Typewriter and Berthold’s Schreibmaschinenschrift.   But the R, c and y notably, look different.

My question -- am I splitting hairs here?  Is this just a pre-digital cut of American Typewriter, or is this in fact, a different typeface?

We’re looking at two different fonts here. “Golden Look-Look Books” (top) and “with illustrations by Richard Scarry” is Filmotype Wicker. I can’t say with total confidence what “A Golden Look-Look Book” (bottom) is but it sure does look a lot like AT Condensed

Oh man, you beat me by the few minutes it took me to scan a sample of Wicker and get it up on Fonts In Use. That’ll teach me!

Oh but thank you for posting that scan!

Oh ya ... that's the one.  Any interest in my putting this use up on Fontsinuse, to go along with your scan?

That's it!  Thank you very much.

I'm gonna ask a stupid question here ... what is "AT Condensed".  I looked it up on Google, Fontsinuse, and Myfonts and I don't see it anywhere.  Is "AT" an acronym for something (Agfa?)?

Jayce, I would love if you contributed this to Fonts In Use!

I believe this is Filmotype Wicker. No known digitization, but a bolded Bulletin Typewriter will get you close.
