This font appears in many vintage BMW ads and reminds me of Franklin Gothic, but is not quite the same

Trying to match the font reminds me of Friz Quadrata but its not
Note the thick and thin of the "v", how the tail of the "g" get narrow same on the top of the "a". Also the notch where the lines of the "y" intersect.
