Curiously in the same period (2008-2010) DBahn used two kinds of alphabets that were palced inside tyhe cabin jsut tyo inform the passengers the main stop stations, as y=the lower case g shows two variations.

I have not archives that show the superb g tail (Image 1) and would like to know if this a DIN font (surely) and the typeface.

The first image is Deutsche Bahn Sans, by Christian Schwartz and Erik Spiekermann

 

Oostende- and Köln apper to be set in Helvetica Bold, while the center line of type is set in Helvetica Compressed Bold

That condensed Helvetica in Ostende image seems quite robust and new.
It tricked me.
