Here are two recent books on cinema from the Musee D'Orsay. They use similar heavy sans serifs but are not identical. There's something mechanical about them, almost like PDU or Jean-Luc, but the pointy bottom of the M rules out those (and most other leads I've had).

The first image is the cover of Enfin le Cinema! The second image is a screenshot of some of the interior text. I found a PDF of some sample spreads, and from the Document Properties window, it seems like the typeface may be Bulk-Reg, but it's clearly not Bulk from ECAL or the Bulk that was written up in It's Nice That

The third image is the cover of Orsay Cinema.

And suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I found this PDF, too. Using Adobe Acrobat, I took a closer look at the credits for Bulk-Reg.
I found these words:

Designed by Atelier Carvalho Bernau with Bernd Volmer, on the occasion of the 80th birthday of Jean-Luc Godard. Copyright (c) 2010 by Atelier Carvalho Bernau. All rights reserved. This typeface is available free of charge from www.carvalho-bernau.com

The words are identical to the ones in Jean-Luc. It seems they altered Jean-Luc to make Bulk-Reg.

Where do you find the credits for the font? I only see the list of font names, type, and encoding in document properties?
