The dots over the "i" appear to be narrow lines.

Apologies for the poor image quality. Not much I could do to improve it, I'm afraid. (The font is not composed of dotted lines. The image is just a bit pixelated, unfortunately.)

This was seen on page 52 of the 2011 edition of the textbook, Graphic Design Solutions, by Robin Landa. The magazine article is likely from the early 2000s or earlier.

I believe it is New York Times Stymie Hairline.
