MTV Base typeface from the 1990's.

Question

A 90's typeface aesthetic, this typeface has always pleased my eye and would like to honour my childhood by incorporating it. The trouble is, I cannot recognise it and would love to know the closest I can get to this type of typeface.

Do note, I am specifically referring to the 'base' font here, not the MTV bit.

If I remember correctly it was »identified« somewhere as a modified Chalet London 1980. (Although the curves of the »s« don’t seem to be anywhere near, so I believe it is handmade …)
