Hi Max, this looks like it’s Woellmer’s Hermes-Grotesk. Or rather the Polish copy cast by the Idźkowski foundry under the name Blok. It was a popular choice on Polish posters.

Thanks, Florian! This does look very similar to Hermes, but quite a bit bolder; would Blok have been bolder than Hermes? (I haven't been able to find a sample of it online.)

Hermes came in a range of styles; this would be the original bold weight, cf. this Danish specimen. The Polish equivalent is named Blok ciężki.
