The version you found probably is the autotraced freebie by Dick Pape, yes? That one is indeed of poor quality, in terms of outlines, spacing, and other aspects (H misses the top contour). I’m afraid there’s no other digitization.
Commercial Type recently did a reinterpretation for the Yesteryear issue of New York. It has clean outlines, but it’s just a piece of lettering, not a full typeface, and unlikely to be available for licensing. Also, it’s not a direct digitization of Pinto Inline, but rather based on a poster for A Chorus Line, and thus different for many letters.
